Julia M. Williams, JD, LLM, Taxation

Ms. Williams began her legal career in litigation, with an emphasis on business and fiduciary litigation.  After nearly a decade of litigation practice, Ms. Williams determined that her legal skills were best used helping people and businesses plan for the future.   

Ms. Williams works with her clients to create comprehensive estate planning documents that meet both her client’s immediate and future needs.  She has a broad range of experience in revocable living trusts and estate tax planning through the strategic use of irrevocable trusts and family planning entities.  

Ms. Williams also provides general counsel services to small- and mid-sized businesses.  Through her time in litigation, Ms. Williams has come to believe that much litigation can be avoided through advice and implementation on best practices.  With her breadth of litigation experience, Ms. Williams can help small and mid-sized companies develop strategies to avoid and/or minimize the impact of litigation.  Ms. Williams regularly reviews employment policies and procedures to help implement best practices to avoid potential liability for violations of wage and hour laws.  Ms. Williams also routinely reviews general business contracts, copyright applications, and prepares agreements disposing of disputes in early stages.

Ms. Williams received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her LLM in Taxation (Cum Laude)  from the University of San Diego.
